A freshwater crab I found. I pointed it out and Ariel, our resident hike lunatic/daredevil (every trip has one, they're the ones who jump out of trees when you're not looking and wrestle seagulls (Baja in-joke)) lunged for it. Guess he knew what he was doing, though, since he didn't get pinched.
