About Me
- Name: Hanna
- Location: Jerusalem, Israel
Well, I'm back in the States, but I'm leaving this blog up for now, and possibly adding a little to it. Since I left Israel the news has been hopeful, but I hardly know what to expect next. I guess we'll all see soon enough. To my friends in Israel, both international students and residents: I'll be watching the headlines, and hoping for the best. בהצלחה

Hey, Kristy's here! :P
Heh, when you throw Orthodox whatevers into the mix, be they Jewish, Christian or Muslim, you'll probably end up with men and women separated. And when you're talking about one of Judaism's holiest sites, you can't really keep the Orthodox, black suit and hat wearing types away. I thought it was interesting that the women's room is between Abraham and Sarah's tombs, the first patriarch and matriarch, and the men's is between Jacob's and Leah's. I think it may have something to do with beliefs about the importance of Jacob and Leah's line as the foundation of the Jewish people, but I still thought it was odd.
